The theme for our Bi-Annual Symposium is From Research to Action: Taking Your Research Beyond the Journal

During this Symposium, we will explore how researchers can translate their research into broader impact in the communities they are studying, and the fields in which they specialize. Scholars will learn how they can draw from their research to design a cogent and compelling story about their work - and outcomes - that can resonate with key audiences. We will discuss different platforms for sharing these narratives, and delve into how New Connections scholars can best prepare professionally for this objective. The Symposium will also serve as a forum for early-career researchers to network, share research ideas and hear from senior researchers. The Symposium agenda includes a variety of scientific and professional development sessions, an RWJF information session, and sessions featuring New Connections grantees/alumni.
